Are you using the right compartment?

A common mistake is pouring detergent directly into the drum. Although detergent pods are designed for this purpose, most liquid or powder detergents work best when poured into the dedicated compartment. This allows the washing machine to release the detergent at the right time during the wash cycle.

Most detergent drawers have three compartments :

  1. Prewash compartment (usually marked with the letter “I”)

  2. Main wash compartment (labeled “II”)

  3. Fabric softener compartment (marked with a flower or star symbol)

Each has a different purpose:

  • The prewash section is designed for longer wash cycles or for heavily soiled garments.

  • section In the main wash , you should put your usual detergent.

  • The fabric softener section is intended for softening or color-protecting additives, which are released during the final rinse.

Important: Never exceed the maximum fill levels indicated inside each compartment. Overfilling may cause leaks or reduce washing performance.
